The final film from the Unreal Engine Storytelling Fellowship, Spring 2022 — a 30-day intensive blended learning programme for experienced industry professionals in film, animation, and VFX. Until We Dream Again was written and directed by Gillian Tan, with music by Nicola T. Chang.
The film was built using metahumans, Niagara particle effects, and SketchUp imports for architectural structures — a first full immersion in real-time production tools after years of working with video in live performance. The fellowship runs on the logic that the skills transfer; figuring out where they do and where they don’t was the most interesting part.
